Volcanoes & Earthquakes

We learned about the layers of the earth. 

We learned about tectonic plates and how these move. 

We learned about famous volcanoes and the ring of fire. 

We learned about the features of a volcano. 

While learning about earthquakes, we thought about the short and long term effects earthquakes have on the land and the people. We also thought about what help people need after an earthquake. 

We researched and learned about famous earthquakes, then wrote a report about them. 

After learning about the effects of volcanic eruptions, we wrote witness reports. 

As part of our unit, we helped out with the school cake sale to raise money for the Turkey-Syria Earthquake.
