Celebrating Difference

For our first lesson, we tried to understand our own culture. We thought about how sometimes, culture can cause conflict. We were then given scenarios to discuss and tried to turn the situations into learning experiences to avoid conflict. 

We worked in groups to think about factors that might cause children to face racism at school. We used this to be aware of our own attitudes towards people from different races. 

We created scenarios with different types of bullying and thought about things that would make the situation worse or better. 

We have learned about what direct and indirect bullying is.
