Science Long Term Study

Our long term study area is Seascale beach. We visited the beach to observe the landscape and the wildlife that occurs in the Autumn. We really enjoyed looking in the rock pools at all the creatures that lived inside. We noticed that the leaves were starting to die and turn brown and red and orange. There were still lots of green plants around and we discussed how they would die once the weather got colder and wetter. The children used to plants that they had found to create beautiful rubbings that linked with our History and Art topic (The Stone Age). We are excited to come back during the other seasons to see how the landscape and the wildlife change.
