Abstract shape and sculpture
In the first lesson of this topic, we learnt about the artist, Robert Morris. We looked at a range of his sculptures and learnt that he uses playgrounds to influence his artwork. We then explored making different 2D and 3D shapes using card, by experimenting with several different methods of connecting pieces of card together.
Today, we used our new learning from last lesson to create sculptures as a team. We used lots of methods to create 2D and 3D shapes.
Today we sketched our sculptures from last week. We then created designs for our own individual sculptures, using playgrounds and our previous sculptures to inform our designs.
This week, we used our designs from last week to create our own sculptures. We used playgrounds as an inspiration for our Art.
