Tullie House Trip
To begin our topic we visited Tullie House in Carlisle to take part in a Victorians workshop. We explored some Victorian artefacts to learn about servant’s jobs in the Victorian era.

The children explored objects such as candles then chose one to sketch.
Then they learned how to lay a fire.
Washing Table
The children learned how to wash clothes just like the Victorians did! After that, they explored Victorian irons!

The children learned about the cleaning objects then helped polish the silverware!

The children played ‘call my bluff’ to learn about the cooking items.
Then they learned how to lay a table!
