Healthy Living Week 2022
This week, we have taken part in a variety of activities to learn about and improve our healthy habits. In class, we used our history lesson to prepare and sample a range of fruits and vegetables brought to Britain by the Romans. We learned a song about food groups and completed a Healthy living quiz. The Year 5 and 6 children led us in Wake & Shake each morning. We challenged ourselves with a Push the Limit Fitter Future workout and enjoyed running skills in PE. This week we also looked at mental health and guided meditation, thinking about ways to calm and relax our minds and bodies and learning why rest is so important for our health. Finally, the whole school came together to celebrate the 10th birthday of the Daily Mile and we all walked a 1 mile route around the school grounds in our teams.
