Virtual Sports Weeks 2020

Virtual Sports Week 29th June - 6th July

Due to restrictions surrounding Covid 19, with many children learning from home, we were unable to hold our usual sports day where the pupils compete in a range of activities in the morning and races in the afternoon to earn points for their team towards the Sports Day trophy. However the pandemic wasn't going to spoil things for us, following discussion with her mum Sports Council member Annie Fawcett suggested we hold a virtual sports day style event.

Following Annie's suggestion Miss Jackson had a discussion with the Year 6 children and a list of activity ideas was developed. The Year 6 children then created a range of demonstration videos for pupils learning at home and in school to follow. The children were given a week to complete the different tasks and return their point scores, the scores were then collated to find which team was victorious.
