Aim High

Coniston 2024

Monday

We arrived (and only 5 people were sick 🙈)

Lunch time in our home for the next few days

Group 1 and 2 went ghyll scrambling today, unfortunately we couldn’t get any photographs but the children had a wonderful time jumping off rocks and submerging themselves in the water.

Group 3,4 and 5 went raft building, which team do you think won?

When you're on a residential but England are playing

Tuesday

The rain was torrential during group 1 and 2's attempt at rock climbing and abseiling, made for some slippery rocks but added to the fun!

Group 3 went Ghyll scrambling, no photos again but what a great time they had; soaked from the river and the rain!

Group 4 and 5 enjoyed canoeing this morning, made slightly more difficult by the wind and rain

Group 3 and 4 spent the afternoon rock climbing and abseiling

Group 5 went ghyll scrambling, would have been fabulous to get photographs of the bravery whilst jumping in!

Tea time

What a great time we had Tuesday evening. Bushcraft activites included shelter building, campfires and hot chocolate. There was even some makeshift mud slides created and some 'gentle persuading' to make Mrs Crowther give one a go!

Wednesday

Group 3 had a lovely canoe on the lake for their last activity

Group 5 finished with ghyll scrambling and had a fantastic time!

Group 1 and 2 team photos!

We had the best time on our residential this year!

Final one for Year 6

The best but busiest time this week at Coniston, we couldn't wait to get home and sleep ... literally.
