Floodland

To start the year we began looking at the book Floodland written by Marcus Sedgwick. The story is set in a dystopian reality where the United Kindgom is disappearing under the rising sea level. It follows the story of Zoe.

We enjoyed using various techniques throughout the term to develop our understanding of the characters, such as role play. We also enjoyed making links to real world context like climate change and even wrote letters to Greta Thunberg.
