Maple Class are working closely with Eve from the Cumbria Wildlife Trust to explore the beach and sand dunes at Drigg. We are also working towards our John Muir Award! See how we’re getting on below.
We had our first trip to Drigg Dunes to study the rock pools and make beach art.
In the rock pools, we found shrimp, chitons, crabs (one called Sheldon and one called Shelley), sea snails, baby flat fish, sea anemones and a catfish egg!
Unfortunately, the beach art didn’t go to plan as it started raining heavily and we had to abandon our creations... hopefully the weather is better for next week’s trip!
