Electricity
We covered health and safety aspects of electricity and making circuits. Then we looked at how circuits work and what is required to have a working circuit.
Circuits could be planned and experimented with on an app. Once we were confident of making a successful circuit using our designs and creating it safely we then used the electrical materials.
Once we made complete circuits we tested what materials worked as insulators and conductors.
We took our final lesson outside to make a human circuit. Using the gym equipment as a power source we were able to light our bulb.
Our Circuit attempts
We started by making a simple circuit, then progressively added further components. After recreating what we knew we hypothesized what would happen if we would 2 power sources.
Finally, we looked at a Solar Panel being the power source to investigate renewable energy.
