We enjoyed looking at what the story machine from the book actually was - a typewriter!
Designing our own story machines
Our story machines helped us to generate our own story ideas, using the starting letter of our name for inspiration. Then, we went outside and drew our story ideas using chalk. We had stories about 'octopuses eating olives in the ocean', 'anacondas eating apples in Antarctica' and even 'elephants eating eggs in Egypt', just to name a few!
