Multiplication and Division

We started our topic by recapping on the meaning of lots of and groups of. We practised drawing pictures to represent groups such at 4 groups of 2.

We have been using counters to represent groups and arrays. We really enjoy marking our own work as it allows us to see and correct our mistakes.

Today we focussed on division and writing division sentences. We used counters to help us understand this concept.

Our previous knowledge of our 2 x tables really supported our learning when exploring halving and doubling.
