King of the Sky - stories about emotions
We have been reading King of the Sky and Perfect by Nicola Davies. Both of these stories have featured birds in key roles in the stories. We have explored the range of emotions felt by the main characters, using drama, music and art to explore features of the narrative.
Our own written stories have been inspired by Nicola Davies and involve parrots, robins, falcons and owls!
We have been learning how to write and punctuate direct speech.
Our water colour paintings are of pigeons and swifts and we have learned much about these birds.
We we are learning how to choose better words to describe how characters feel.
