World Book Day
For World Book Day the whole school celebrated the work of Julia Donaldson. In Beech Class we read The Snail and the Whale and made a collage of some of the important parts of the story: the whale's tail, the soot-black rock, the volcano, the wave and the snail with the itchy foot. We also received a visit from Mrs Wells and Baby Ivy. Mrs Wells told us how she reads stories to Ivy every night at bedtime. She says you're never too young and never too old to listen to a good story. We all agreed!
