Beach Art
This week we spent a morning with Mrs Merry at Beach school. We used pencils, charcoal and watercolours to create ideas for seascape art which will be used to inspire some acrylic painting in class. We also studied sand labyrinths and created our own using digging, pebbles and seaweed. Please click here to view our Beach Day photo gallery.
Victorian Art
We looked at the work of Victorian print artist William Morris. We researched his style and used this as inspiration for our own outdoor artwork.
We enjoyed sketching in the woodland, using wild flowers and plants as well as books and iPads for reference. We then had the chance to experiment with blending and scratching to recreate an oil pastel picture in the William Morris style.
