We looked at the painting and discussed the importance of symbols in paintings.

We discussed symbols that represented war time to us and created our own painting in the style of Picasso.

We worked collaboratively to create an art feature for our Remembrance assembly.

To link to our Geography unit 'Why does population change?' and our global learning theme this term 'World Earth Day' we discussed how climate change in impacting the global population. Using three key questions;
1. What is causing climate change?

2. What impact will climate change have on the population?

3. What can we do about it?

We made a piece of artwork that we felt conveyed our individual issue and combined it to create a collaborative piece.
