Plant Growth
We started our science unit about plants today and discussed what plants need to grow. We planted our sweet pea seeds to monitor over the next few weeks and as well as our own we set up a comparative test to see which conditions help plants grow best.
We’ve continued with our plant growth unit, yesterday investigating and comparing seeds and bulbs. We’ve been observing our plants and filled in our plant diary with labelled drawings and measurements.
Today we had a very busy afternoon learning all about germination. We discussed the difference in how our test plants had grown and that that was because of the different conditions. We plotted some data we gathered in a table and learnt a poem all about germination.

We finished our science unit today and learnt about how to care for our plants. We updated our plant diary and will do this once more on Friday before they bring them home, I hope you’re ready for them 😊🌿
