We are Water Protectors
Kickstarting the new year with some fantastic vocabulary work. We listed different nouns that could be used for a river and came up with verbs to say what a river does. We learnt all about verbs in the past tense and progressive verbs, how to change the spelling of the verbs and created some beautiful poems using poetic language. All to tie in with our wonderful new book 'We are Water Protectors'
Exploring subordinating conjunctions this morning.
In English today some of us were creating effective slogans, we included powerful verbs in our commands and made a sign for a protest against an oil company.
