Craft and Design: Map it Out
We started our Art unit today (you may have noticed from their clothes). Our unit is creating art inspired by maps which ties is perfectly to our recently finished Geography unit. Today we started by creating a creative journey. We thought about our journey to school and drew it using a range of materials. Over the next few sessions we will create 3D relief maps and abstract maps using this as inspiration.
A gorgeous art lesson today learning all about abstract art. We used our creative journeys again as inspiration to create our own pieces of abstract art. We just love how the light catches them and makes our classroom so colourful 🌈
Yesterday we had our last art lesson from this unit and it was fantastic. We created a collaborative piece of artwork showing our journey to school and we used ink to print.
