Percy Jackson and The Lightning Thief
At the start of our English topic, reading Percy Jackson and the lightning thief, we discussed and evaluated the author’s language and wrote down the character traits of the characters that we had met in the story so far.
We each wrote a letter to Grover Underwood as the main character Percy Jackson telling him about what happened while he was gone.
After that, we wrote character descriptions of varying characters.
We wrote newspaper reports about the gateway arch incident.
We used adverts of possibility to create adverts to persuade people to buy and use different mythical items. Some people preferred to be on s the camera but others preferred the production team. Can you spot the adverbs of possibility in our scripts?

Creating for and against arguments to feel sympathy towards the Minotaur and Medusa.
In the end we didn’t feel sorry for Medusa as she kills innocent people but the Minotaur we feel is a prisoner and has no other way to survive.
The last piece of writing we did about Percy Jackson was in Luke’s point of view explaining the ending of the book.
