We spent some time researching the Greek Gods and created a fact-file about each of them.
What were the most important myths and stories in Ancient Greece, and how have they influenced British literature?
During our English lessons we have learnt about a range of different Greek myths;
- Pandora
- The Minotaur
- King Midas and the Golden Touch
- Perseus and the Gorgon's Head
- Daedalus and Icarus
- Odysseus, King of Ithaca
- Orpheus and Eurydice
We discussed the lessons we can learn from these myths and what stories today have drawn inspiration from them such as; Percy Jackson, The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe and Harry Potter.
