Where am I?
In the first lesson of our new Geography topic, we learned about the 4 countries that make up the UK. We then learned what a feature is and then went on a walk around our school grounds, identifying all of the features we have in school.
In this geography lesson, we learnt about positional direction and how this language can be used when giving directions on a map.
Today we learned about aerial views. We used google maps to help us understand what these look like. We then matched photos to their aerial views.
We have been learning about map symbols and how they represent places on a map. We then had a go t making our own map using these symbols.
This week, we recapped on symbols that are used to represent different places on maps. We then discussed where we live and places in school and talked about how these places make us feel and why.
