Science - Skeletons and Movement

Skeletons

We made skeletons out of dog biscuits before learning more about them. Then we played skeleton drive to help learn the scientific names for some of the most common bones.

Muscles

We studied how most of our muscles work in pairs and that when one muscle contracts, the other in the pair relaxes. These muscle models we made represent this learning!

We also learned how muscle movements can be voluntary or involuntary. Here are some pictures of us exploring the patellar reflex and pupil dilation.
