Weekly Round Up

Each week we will share a selection of highlights from our learning at home and at school.

w.c. 6th July

Our outdoor area this week was the garden and wooded area, which was perfect for our theme of Discovery. Alongside our RSE work in class, we have been outside weaving dream catchers, climbing trees, and using our photography skills to recreate photos in the style of Karl Blossfeldt (as well as some of our own macro photos of plants and flowers). This inspired some lovely pastel and charcoal art too. We have enjoyed story time in the garden as we prepare for our final week of primary school!

w.c. 29th June

The weather wasn't as kind to us this week so more of our lessons and playtimes had to be indoors. We still enjoyed the adventure playground whenever we could and discovered that the surface of the the ground made an excellent petanque terrain! We now have 13 year 6 children back with us which is lovely, and we have been able to explore the theme of "Memories" in our art and Transition work. Here are some highlights from this week:

We made the most of the hot weather on Wednesday and Thursday, enjoying picnic lunches outside and having lots of our lessons outdoors. We welcomed two more Year 6 pupils back into school too. Take a look at our highlights:

w.c. 15th June

Ten Year 6 children returned to school this week and they have done a fabulous job of social distancing while they get to grips with our new safety, hygiene and learning routines. This week we have been spending lots of time outdoors. From petanque to woodland activities, circuit training to painting, photography to story time, we have been outside as much as possible. Here are some of our highlights this week:
