Project: Cumbrian Dialect Words

How many Cumbrian dialect words and phrases can you discover? Make a list of words and phrases and crucially, what they mean, and send into school or keep them in your notebooks.

Our aim is to dedicate a large wall in our new school to Cumbrian words and phrases. This will help us all celebrate the historic and unique dialect of our area.

We already have local television interested in the project and a company ready to make stencils to put the words on the wall, so let’s make this happen!
