Addition and Subtraction
Today we have been learning about fact families. We have played lots of games to help us understand these.
Today we looked at lots of different ways to make the same number. We used tens and ones and also part-whole models to help us.
Today we recapped on number bonds to 10 to ensure we were secure before starting on number bonds to 100.
We have been playing a version of battle ships to practice our recognition of 2-digit numbers.
Today we have been learning to add 3, 1-digit numbers.
We have been using tens frames and counters to learn how to add across a 10.
We have been using number lines and base 10 to learn about subtracting across a 10.
This week we have been using base 10 to help us learn about addition and subtraction. We have been discussing exchanging to help us with crossing a ten.
