We made links to our World Book Day book ‘Leaf’ to Climate Change
We learnt about the Paris Rulebook and how It impacts my daily life at school and then we spent some time exploring how to accelerate action to tackle the climate crisis through collaboration.
Key words and phrases we learnt were offsetting, insetting and carbon offsets.
Emin Vernon is a fuel performance scientist for National Nuclear Laboratory and it was interesting to hear about what he is doing to tackle climate change.
To link this back to our book we researched and distilled key points from different articles about Polar Bears to support us in writing a non-chronological report about the polar bears and the impact climate change is having on them.
