Reading at Home

We encourage all children to 'Strive for 5' each week, which means they should read at home 5 times per week. Every time the children read at home, they receive a team point. When children have read 5 times at home, their name is entered into a 'Strive for 5' draw to win a prize.  Children should complete an Accelerated Reader quiz when they have finished their reading book which demonstrates their understanding of what they have read. Children can also earn team points for this. As well as this, it is important that they also meet their Lexia target each week. Please see an adult in school if you are having trouble accessing Lexia at home.
