Artefacts
We started the unit by looking at some artefacts which we borrowed.
Our first lesson looked at Anglo Saxon villages. Together we discussed the difference between an “invader” and a “settler”. Then came up with a checklist of what our criteria would be if we were settlers in 450AD.
Using the checklist we then designed our own settlement along with some additional challenges.
Once designs were complete we went to the woodland to create a settlement in teams.
