Weaving

We had a go at some wool weaving which was trickier than it looked! We even made the frames ourselves.

Dream Catchers

Because of the icy winds, we brought forest schools inside this week. Everyone chose some sticks to make a dream catcher. We chose wool in colours that represent our personality and carefully bound our sticks, made intricate webs and finished with some beads.

World Book Day - Grendel

We read Grendel: A Cautionary Tale of Chocolate as our special World Book Day book.

It’s about a cheeky monster who loves chocolate so much that he wishes everything he touches turns to chocolate - including his dog and mum!

We used teamwork and problem solving skills to build Grendel, with the challenge of making him sit or stand up. We had varying degrees of success, but all had a go at the challenge!

Goldsworthy Inspired Art

This week, we worked on a smaller scale adding detail to sculpture made using natural materials. We thought carefully about colour, texture and pattern to create these beautiful pieces of art!

Den Building

We went into the woodlands on the lookout for an adventure...and build the magical things we imagined we discovered!
