Electrical Systems - Christmas Cards

To explore, analyse and evaluate greeting cards

This lesson we discovered the history of personal message exchange including the development of the Penny Black stamp, which contributed to the increased demand to send and receive greeting cards. We evaluated and analysed existing greeting cards.

To experiment and construct a functional series circuit.

We have been learning all about electricity in Science that links perfectly to our topic. Follow the link below to see what we have been doing.

To create a moodboard to help inspire and generate a range of design ideas.

We used research to develop a design criteria that informed the design of our Christmas cards to ensure they were innovative, functional and appealing products. We had lots of fun making our card.

To create my final electronic greeting card, compete with a functional series circuit.

We brought all of the knowledge, idea generation and electrical system exploration together to complete our final design. We made a corresponding circuit diagram and constructed the electronic greeting card.
