Climate Zones
In the first week of our Geography topic, climate zones, we spoke about temperatures and what the word climate meant. We discussed the equator and lines of latitude and how these contribute to different climate zones. We then chose a climate zone and drew a picture of a place in that climate zone.
This week we learnt about the Northern and Southern Hemisphere and how these contributed to the different seasons. We then used different objects to explain how the earth rotates and moves around the sun. We also recapped on lines of latitude and what latitude means.
In Geography this week, we have been comparing the temperature in Brazil and in the UK. We then worked as a class to complete a temperature graph to recorded the varying temperatures in Brazil.
Today we have been completing a bar graph according to the precipitation levels, each month, in Brazil.
