Being Me in My World
We have been talking about ways to get along with each other and to help our class and school be a calm, welcoming and safe place. We have learned about our school rules and we drew pictures of what it looks like to be safe, be caring and be ready.
We wrote our class charter to help us think about all the small things we can do to help our school be welcoming to others. We learned about a child, Sam, who wanted to join a new school but was worried that it would be hard to make friends and to fit in. Each of the children designed welcome cards for Sam to welcome him at Seascale School if he wanted to join us here. The children have written some lovely, thoughtful and inspiring messages to Sam.
